Tysan Pierce

Tysan Pierce came to Portland in 1999 chasing the dragon of Pinot Noir and the promise of the Willamette Valley. A graduate of Vassar College in New York, she fell into her love affair with wine working in restaurants after college in New York City while attending the School of Visual Arts. She is a graduate of the International Sommelier Guild's Diploma certification, as well as being an instructor for the Guild's Wine Fundamentals Certificates in Portland as well as seasonally in Minneapolis.

After several restaurant openings in Portland, including ORItalia and Lucere, Tysan has found a home at the Heathman Restaurant and Bar working under the brilliant culinary vision of Chef Philippe Boulot. Her passion for the Heathman is exceeded only by her love of sharing knowledge and an ardor for wine with others.
