Shayn Bjornholm

Shayn is currently the Wine Director/Sommelier at Canlis Restaurant, holder of the Wine Spectator Magazine Grand Award for Excellence in wine programs, in Seattle, WA. He started his wine career on the restaurant floors of the Stanhope Hotel and Palace Hotel in New York City in the mid 1990's. Having found himself in the Pacific Northwest as Dining Room Manager of Jeremiah Tower's Stars Bar and Dining in Seattle, he became the first Washington State graduate of the International Sommelier Guild's Sommelier Diploma in 2000, and is a regular contributor to the International Sommelier Guild Newsletter. Shayn trained in Paris with two Star Michelin award winning restaurants in early 2001. To further expand his knowledge and teaching abilities, Shayn will be sitting for the Society of Wine Educators Exam in the summer of 2001.
